About Wendy....
Wendy K. Ellis, CRX, CMD is the founder and President of Ellis Marketing and is a seasoned marketing communications professional with more than twenty-five years experience in branding, marketing communications, advertising, public relations, and media in both the corporate and agency environments. Her focus in the last ten years has been branding, comprehensive communications, digital and web marketing and social media marketing.
Wendy has held marketing communications positions with companies such as Lincoln Property Company, The MG Herring Group, The Mills, McWhinney, General Growth Properties, Koury Corporation, The Richard E. Jacobs Group, Marathon US Realties, and The Hahn Company. She is a Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and a Certified Marketing Director (CMD) and her career includes two terms as President of the North Carolina Council of Shopping Centers. She is a past two-term member of the International Council of Shopping Centers Certified Marketing Director Committee, a past ICSC University of Shopping Centers faculty member and a past Ad Club of the Triad Addy Chairperson.
Wendy wrote the guidelines for the "Mall Of Promise" program, used nationally by the America’s Promise organization, at the invitation of General Colin Powell. She has presented at the National Community Service and the National Communities In Schools Conferences. She penned a bi-monthly feature on DIY Marketing for JonesReport Plus from 2000 - 2010 and regularly speaks on marketing communications related topics such as Social Media, Crisis Management, Marketing Innovation, Generating Publicity, and Working with Non-Profits to various commercial and not-for-profit organizations.
In addition, she has served on the boards of the Ad Club of The Triad, the Northern Colorado Figure Skating Club, Maryland Tourism Council, Gardens Figure Skating Club of Maryland, the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation's LWIB (Local Workforce Investment Board) and the Foundation for Allen Schools Board as well as on the Maryland Travel & Tourism Summit and Annapolis & Anne Arundel County CVB Marketing committees. She is a certified Strengths Coach and Trainer.
Wendy currently resides in Texas with her two daughters, an equestrian and an actress/dancer/singer.
